How to setup CTRtool on Wordpress in 5 minutes flat!
This process is simple, straightforward and shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to complete.
First off, I am starting with the idea that you already have a WordPress website and CTRtool active and you are logged in to your accounts.
How to do it
1. Inside the Dashboard of CTRtool you will find a button called Install Script, click on that.
2. Now, you will be able to see the Tracking code under the Install your Pixel headline. Select that code and copy it!
3. Insert the code into the html header of your WordPress site.
a. Manually on your own
b. Via WordPress plugins go to your WordPress website where you want to install the CTRTool pixel code and login to WordPress.
Go to the Plugins item from the menu and then click on Add new link.
Now you can search for something like “Insert header footer” plugin in the search bar.
Keep in mind that there are a lot of plugins that can achieve the same result. For example choosing a very simple plugin named “Insert Script In Headers And Footers“.
Now that you have the plugin ready, the only thing left to do is to hover your Settings menu item from your WordPress and click on the link where it says the name of the plugin that you just installed.
Now all that is left to do is to paste the Pixel code you just copied from CTRtool into either of the fields, first or the second field. (Header or Footer)
After pasting the code and clicking on the Save button, you must go and access your wordpress blog to initiate the first load of the CTRtool pixel. (Log out of WordPress and refresh the homepage of your WordPress website.
For example - Just go to your homepage a few times. )
4. You can confirm the installation now by going back to the CTRtool Install Script page and clicking on the Check activity button.
If the installation was completed, you will see a new result with the domain where you installed the CTRtool Pixel Code.
